Alice Cooper has revealed that he will embark on a six-date tour of the UK later this year. The Too Close For Comfort tour launches on 14 October at Glasgow’s OVO Arena, with subsequent performances in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, and London. The tour will conclude with two consecutive nights at London’s Eventim Apollo on 20 and 21 October. Primal Scream will accompany Cooper as special guests on all but the London dates. Meanwhile, Sex Pistols’ guitarist and songwriter Glen Matlock will join as a special guest for the London shows.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday (23 February) at 10 am GMT, while pre-sales begin from this Wednesday (21 February) at 10 am. The concerts come after Cooper’s album Road is released in August 2023. He said of the album: “For ‘Road,’ I wanted the band to be involved in the foundation of all the songs. I only see these guys when we’re on the road. So, I wanted them to be as tight as they are for the show but on all new material. When you have a band this good, I believe in showing it off, and this is my way of doing so.”
The tour will offer an interactive experience for fans, with giant video screens mixing pre-recorded scenes with the live action. Attendees can also expect to hear some of Cooper’s classic hits, including “Under My Wheels,” “I’m Eighteen,” “School’s Out,” “Poison,” “Billion Dollar Babies,” and “No More Mr. Nice Guy.”
Earlier this month, Alice launched a new radio show called Alice’s Attic. The tour dates for Alice Cooper’s 2024 Too Close For Comfort tour are Glasgow’s Ovo Arena on 14 October, Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on 16 October, Manchester’s AO Arena on 17 October, Leeds’ First Direct Arena on 18 October, and two consecutive nights at London’s Eventim Apollo on 20 and 21 October
