Netflix has confirmed that new episodes of “Pokémon Concierge” are currently in production. The hit stop-motion Pokémon series debuted its first season in December 2023 with four episodes, each lasting under 20 minutes. However, the streaming giant has yet to announce the release date and official episode count for the new episodes. “Pokémon Concierge” is an adaptation of the popular video game franchise, with episodes crafted using clay and felt to tell the story of Haru’s adventures at the Pokémon Resort. The series also features a shy Psyduck and other beloved Pokémon.
Director Iku Ogawa expressed his excitement and said that new episodes are in the works in a statement to Variety. He added, “I am happy to let you know that we are now working on the new episodes for Pokémon Concierge! Life at the Pokémon Resort continues. Please look forward to it! Let’s see which Pokémon will come to visit as a guest this time!”
Despite the absence of Pikachu and Ash, the main duo of the Pokémon franchise, “Pokémon Concierge” proved itself to be a charming and refreshing take on the beloved franchise, scoring a four-star review from NME before its release. It showcases Haru, a 20-something in the midst of a career change, who lands a job at the Pokémon Resort where she helps Pokémon live their best lives.
The new episodes of “Pokémon Concierge” have not only excited fans but also set the bar high, following the success of the show’s impressive first season. Only time will tell how it compares to the amazing season one, but fans can’t wait to watch it all unfold
