Los Angeles synthpop band HEALTH has covered Deftones’ ‘Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)’ for Spotify Singles. Originally released in 1997 on Deftones’ second album ‘Around the Fur’, the track was the band’s most successful single to date. However, HEALTH’s take on the song reinvents it with an industrial, noise rock feel. The track is part of a series of Spotify Singles, which includes covers by artists such as Haim, The Strokes, and Miley Cyrus.
HEALTH recently released their latest album, ‘Rat Wars’, which was available digitally in December 2020 and will be released on vinyl, CD, and cassette on February 16. The lead single from the album, ‘HATEFUL’, was premiered on the first-person shooter game Ultrakill via New Blood Interactive.
