The Omega update for No Man’s Sky has dropped and brings new core features to the game along with a new expedition. This update extends the game’s mission options by adding new procedurally generated missions that players can uncover by speaking to alien beings. It also lets gamers captain the Dreadnought capital ship when pirate ships arranged to protect it have been taken down.

According to the patch notes, the Omega Expedition gives players the opportunity to “answer the call of the universe in a new community expedition” and embark on an extensive chain of missions exploring various worlds and battling different systems throughout No Man’s Sky. Every participant begins the adventure collectively on the beautiful planet Nafut Gamma and plots a course through the galaxy.

The Atlas Path series has undergone a major change, and now includes a “final, consequential choice” that will permanently alter a player’s relationship with the Atlas. The game is available for free for all players from February 15 to February 19, with a discount offered if they decide to buy the game once their trial period expires.

Bloober Team, the developer of Silent Hill 2, thinks the newly released game remake trailer does not “reflect the spirit” of the game and blames publisher Konami for the problematic video. These comments were made by Bloober Team in light of the game’s recently released trailer that showed off a significant graphical improvement but did not meet the game’s standards
