Drake’s latest music video for the track ‘Rich Baby Daddy’ has been released, featuring Sexyy Red going into labour. The song is part of his album ‘For All The Dogs’ which was released in October 2023. The video is styled as a VHS home video, with Drake holding the camera and filming an alternative universe where he is seen with Sexyy Red and SZA at home. The video follows them on the way to the hospital for Sexyy Red’s labour. The song is resumed with SZA asking Drake to stop filming, to which he responds he is trying to capture the moment.
After the video’s two minute mark, the song pauses as a pregnant Sexyy Red reveals her water has broken and SZA runs up the stairs to be with her. Drake responds by saying he is “trying to capture the moment,” before the music returns. The video ends with real-life footage of Sexyy Red after giving birth and a message reading ‘Congratulations Red!!! We love you.’
Drake’s eighth studio album ‘For All The Dogs’ featured other artists such as 21 Savage, J. Cole, Bad Bunny, and Lil Yachty. However, the album received a two-star review from NME, who criticised it for sounding “banger-less, bitter and deeply mid”.
