Korean pop superstar, IU, has shared a teaser for her newest music video featuring DPR Ian in her upcoming single, ‘Shopper’. The video preview was released on February 14th, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming music video. ‘Shopper’ will be one of two title tracks from IU’s sixth mini-album, titled, ‘The Winning’, alongside a track titled, ‘Holssi’. The song is reportedly much anticipated among fans as it marks the first-time collaboration between IU and DPR Ian.
The teaser for the music video shows an ordinary-looking supermarket that is much more than meets the eye. The preview is narrated by DPR Ian, who appears in the clip, revealing, “There once was a shop. And it wasn’t just any shop. It was, in fact, extraordinary, with even more extraordinary items,” before a snippet of ‘Shopper’ plays. IU will release the music video for ‘Shopper’ on February 20th, the same day as the release of her album, ‘The Winning’.
In addition to ‘Shopper’, IU will also be releasing a music video for her album cut, titled ‘Shh..’, which is a collaboration with NewJeans’ Hyein and Cho Won-sun of Roller Coaster. The music video for ‘Shh..’ is due to be released on February 23rd, and is set to star actress Tang Wei. ‘The Winning’ will also feature a song called ‘Love Wins All’, which already has a music video that features BTS’ V. This is IU’s latest solo release since her 2021 mini-album, ‘Pieces’.
IU’s ‘H.E.R.’ world tour is set to kick off from March till August 2024, and will feature shows in Asia, Europe, and the United States.
