Sister Bliss of Faithless has released a new solo single called ‘Do It Right’. This comes shortly after Faithless announced their return to the stage after an eight-year absence at Camp Bestival Shropshire. The event will run from August 15-18. Speaking about her latest single, Sister Bliss said she wanted to make a song that had the same sense of no-nonsense attitude and swagger of legendary label Junior Boys Own, and a certain raw jacking edge to it. She added that it’s been going down a storm and also the Italo mix goes on a more trippy journey which is an excellent bridge between genres in her sets.

‘Do It Right’ is Sister Bliss’s second solo single, following ‘Life is a Melody’ in March 2021 which was a collaboration with producers Hyacinth & Apollo. Bliss wanted to encapsulate the feeling of euphoria and intensity of being back on the road following the multiple festival cancellations due to the pandemic. Faithless has not been active on stage since 2016, and the Camp Bestival performance will be their first show since the death of Maxi Jazz in 2022 at the age of 65. Bliss believes that the upcoming show will be in Jazz’s honour as she was “heartbroken” when he died in his sleep.

Sister Bliss said that Faithless is thrilled to return to the live arena after eight years away, and they couldn’t think of a better way to return than to the hallowed fields of Camp Bestival. This will be a big celebration, and they can’t wait for fans to join them. Early last year, a new mural dedicated to Jazz was unveiled in Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park stadium, featuring a close-up red-and-black painting of the frontman’s face alongside the lyric “THIS IS MY CHURCH” from Faithless’ 1998 single ‘God Is A DJ’.

Faithless is a British electronica band consisting of Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss, and Rollo. The group is known for their international hits including ‘Insomnia’, ‘God Is A DJ’, and ‘We Come 1’
