Brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario, the duo that make up American rock band The Lemon Twigs, have announced their fifth album ‘A Dream Is All We Know’ which is set for release on May 3 through the record label Captured Tracks. The album is available for pre-order via the Presciption PR website. The brothers, hailing from Long Island, NY, shared the latest single from the album titled ‘They Don’t Know How To Fall In Place’ and directed by Amber Navarro.
In an interview with NME, the D’Addario brothers explained that the single is inspired by their imaginary world called ‘Mersey Beach’ which is a combination of ’60s Merseybeat and ’70s Laurel Canyon. This is the second single that the band has released this year following the nostalgic ‘My Golden Years’. This upcoming album was entirely produced by the band and recorded on the same equipment from the eras their music is inspired by.
The new single features a miniature-style video with the band members depicted as “Borrowers”. The full tracklisting includes songs such as ‘Church Bells’, ‘In the Eyes of the Girl’, ‘Ember Days’ and more. The album opens with ‘My Golden Years’. Before launching into the new material, the Lemon Twigs performed the song on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’.
The Lemon Twigs’ self-produced fourth album ‘Everything Harmony’ earned a well-deserved four-star rating from NME, which said: “‘Everything Harmony’ plays like the next progression from their promising debut, and what stood out about them then is what stands out about them now. With their fourth album, The Lemon Twigs have honed in on their ability to not just lift from the past but transmute what inspires them into something imaginative and new.
