Clapham chemical attack: Police raid addresses in North Tyneside

Following nearly eight days of searching for the suspect of the Clapham chemical attack, police have conducted raids on two addresses in North Tyneside, one of which is where Abdul Shokoor Ezedi was employed. Ezedi, 35, is currently wanted for attempted murder after a corrosive liquid injured a mother and her two children. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that armed police conducted the raids on Thursday morning.

Both of the addresses are associated with Ezedi and were targeted in a joint operation with Northumbria Police. Ezedi was last seen on 31 January in Pimlico at the crossing of Vauxhall Bridge Road and Grosvenor Road at 23:03 GMT. The authorities have been searching for the suspect since this time.

The Metropolitan Police released CCTV footage of Ezedi and his details as part of their search and have been encouraging the public to come forward with any information they may have. Ezedi is described as 5ft 8in and is known to have links to Newcastle and North Tyneside.

At present, there are no further details regarding the raids or arrests made as a result of them. However, the authorities are continuing their efforts to locate Ezedi in connection with the chemical attack
