Liverpool is hosting a screening party for the Eurovision Grand Final, called “Malmö on the Mersey,” at the site of the 2023 final. Hosted by BBC Radio presenter Ngunan Adamu, the show will include last year’s Eurovillage stars, the Vengaboys, as well as sets from Sonic Yootha and more. Liverpool City of Music and OGAE International are running the event, hoping to create new Eurovision memories and bring a bit of the Malmo vibe to the UK.
Ben Williams, ACC Liverpool’s Commercial & Business Development Director and member of the City of Liverpool Region Music Board, said that “Liverpool’s unrivalled musical reputation is known across the world, and we want to make sure that our city is the best place to experience the Eurovision vibe outside of Malmo itself” and that they can’t wait to continue the legacy of the 2023 final. Tickets are on sale on February 9th, 2024 at 9 am.
OGAE International is the largest Eurovision fan network globally. Liverpool City of Music hopes to create memories of the biggest party the city has ever hosted, with fans enjoying the chance to celebrate due to the back up of their city’s musical heritage. Come and create some new Eurovision memories to add to those from last year.
While Liverpool may not be able to offer the same atmosphere as Malmo, the city is aiming to host the UK’s best Eurovision vibe. Come to the party and experience firsthand how Liverpool executes such a unique and diverse music venue that is easily accessible to its audience
