R&B superstar Usher has plans for a 24-date tour in the US following closely on the heels of the Super Bowl. The singer will launch the ‘Past Present Future’ tour with a concert in Washington on 20 August. Aside from dates in cities like Toronto, Oakland, and Los Angeles, Usher is set to become the inaugural performer at the Inuit Dome in the latter city. The ‘Past Present Future’ tour will end with a two-night run at Chicago’s United Center on 28 and 29 October. Tickets for Usher’s tour will be available from 12 February at 10 a.m. local time, with presale information available on Ticketmaster.
‘Coming Home’, Usher’s upcoming album, is set to be released on 9 February. The 20-song album, which will be Usher’s first release since his 2016 album ‘Hard II Love’, will feature collaborations with artists like Summer Walker, 21 Savage, H.E.R., Burna Boy and Latto.
In anticipation of the Super Bowl, which is set to take place on Sunday (11 February) at Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, Usher has already released a trailer for his halftime set. The teaser received cameos by LeBron James and Jungkook, and hinted at a plethora of special guest performers. Last week, Usher dropped hints that his show would pay homage to legendary black artists and genres like R&B. Usher is proud to take on the halftime performance and in a statement he said he has been mentally preparing for the show for “30 years”.
