Ja Rule reflects on decade long hiatus and teases new music

Ja Rule has apologized to his fans on Twitter for taking a ten-year hiatus from music. The rapper, who rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits such as ‘Always On Time’ and ‘Livin’ It Up’, recently shared his regrets on Twitter. He wrote that listening to his new album in the making made him “a lil sad”, and that he should never have stopped making music. He went on to promote his upcoming album, called ‘Can We Watch The Sunrise Together?’.

The forthcoming album will commemorate 25 years since his debut single ‘Holla Holla’ and first-ever album ‘Venni Vetti Vecci’. It is a significant milestone since his last album, ‘Pain Is Love 2’, was released in 2012 during his incarceration on charges of gun possession and tax evasion. It served as a follow-up to his 2001 album ‘Pain Is Love’ and debuted at number 197 on the US Billboard 200 Chart, with 3,200 copies sold in its first week.

Ja Rule’s new album is much anticipated by his loyal fans, some of whom have shared their excitement on his Twitter page, expressing their love for his music and their enjoyment of his previous albums, including ‘Venni Vetti Vecci’ and ‘Blood in My Eye’. The rapper recently called for older stars to continue to create “classic” songs and lamented André 3000’s decision to stop rapping.

Ja Rule will soon embark on a UK and Ireland tour, ‘The Sunrise Tour’, alongside fellow 00s R&B stars Keri Hilson, Lloyd, and Mya. The tour will start on March 1 and will cover cities such as Birmingham, London, Liverpool, and Glasgow.

Fans of the rapper who want to experience his latest music live can buy tickets for ‘The Sunrise Tour’ online. The tour coincides with the 20th anniversary of Rule’s sixth studio album ‘R.U.L.E.’ and is expected to be a major highlight of 2022
