Madonna announces final date of ‘The Celebration’ world tour

Madonna’s ‘The Celebration’ World Tour will be extended due to over-demand from fans. The final date will take place on April 9th, 2024, at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The global tour will have consisted of 80 shows upon its conclusion. Tickets for the final date were made available as of February 6th. A press release released by the artist’s team stated that a third date in Miami was added due to overwhelming demand.

The ‘Celebration’ global tour will conclude in April 2024 in Mexico. The concert will follow a series of performances in multiple US cities and several in Mexico. Last week, Madonna sang “This Used To Be My Playground” live for the first time on her worldwide tour in Chicago. The theme song for the 1992 comedy-drama film “A League of Their Own” triumphed at the charts and gained a Golden Globe nomination. Madonna looked happy to be back in the Windy City. She brought up the fact that she had to learn how to play baseball in that city while filming “A League of Their Own”. Madonna then asked the audience if they could recall the theme tune, singing a few lines acapella to prompt people’s memory. The audience joined in, and Madge told them she had “very fond memories of this city.”

Rumours have been swirling that Madonna will be the headliner for Glastonbury in 2024. The festival’s organiser, Emily Eavis, posted on social media from the opening of the ‘Celebration’ tour earlier this year, prompting speculation. According to insiders, Coldplay, the Foo Fighters, and Dua Lipa were tipped to headline the festival. It was revealed back in March that Glastonbury had booked one of two planned female headliners.

Madonna’s ‘The Celebration’ World Tour has been an overwhelming success, and with the extension of the tour and demand for the concerts, the artist’s fans can look forward to more of what Madonna has to offer for the years ahead
