Another person, a 17-year-old boy, has been charged with the murders of two teenagers in Bristol, making him the fourth individual to face charges. Mason Rist, aged 15, and Max Dixon, aged 16, were killed in the Knowle West area on January 27th and succumbed to their injuries in hospital. The Avon and Somerset Police declared that the boy will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Previously, two boys aged 15 and 16, and Anthony Snook, aged 44, had been charged with two counts of murder while two others have been charged with assisting an offender.
Since the tragic events in Knowle West last weekend, a dozen individuals have been arrested. Detective Superintendent Gary Haskins said that the families of Mason and Max are receiving support from family liaison officers and have been informed about the two arrests that occurred earlier today. He expressed gratitude to the local community for their support and stated that the authorities would continue to update the public regarding this ongoing investigation.
On Sunday, a memorial football match was organised to raise funds for the two boys’ families and create awareness surrounding knife crime. People can follow BBC West on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. They can send their story ideas to bristol@bbc.co.uk.
