When emergency services arrived at the scene, they used all possible means to save Mr Khan’s life. Despite their best efforts, however, Mr Khan passed away shortly after.
Detective Inspector Kaz Smithson, who leads the investigation into Mr Khan’s death, expressed her condolences to the victim’s loved ones: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Khan’s family and friends, and we will continue to support them throughout this investigation. Our investigation is extensive, and we are making good progress with a team of highly-skilled detectives who are working tirelessly to get Mr Khan’s family justice.”
She continued: “I want to reassure the community that we do believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.” Although the case remains open, Inspector Smithson’s reassurance should bring some relief to the people of Nottingham. The police investigation remains ongoing
