All Points East has released the complete line-up that will perform alongside headliners The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie at this year’s festival. The 10-day festival will be held at Victoria Park in East London from August 16 to August 25. Indie bands including Sleater-Kinney, Yo La Tengo, Gossip, Phoenix, and The Decemberists will be joining the two headliners on the final day of the festival. Last year’s festival featured performances from The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and The Walkmen.
The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie were previously announced as co-headliners for the final day of the festival, with Benjamin Gibbard performing with both bands on stage. The sets will feature songs from the respective albums Give Up and Transatlanticism, both of which celebrate their 20th anniversary this year.
The appearance at All Points East will mark The Postal Service’s first performance in London in more than a decade. Gibbard spoke about the significance of celebrating the anniversaries of the two albums, saying “Reflecting on who you were 20 years ago is necessary to understanding who you are today.” Loyle Carner has also been announced as a headliner for the festival on Saturday, August 17, and will be joined by Nas, Ezra Collective, and Sainté, among others.
In addition to the festival’s musical performances, previous All Points East festivals have featured a variety of events such as outdoor cinema screenings, comedy acts, and food and drink vendors. Tickets for the festival are available for purchase through Ticketmaster
