Netflix has unveiled a new teaser for its upcoming thriller K-drama, A Killer Paradox, featuring Choi Woo-shik and Son Suk-ku. The series follows an ordinary university student, Lee Tang, who becomes a serial killer. Jang Nan-gam, a smart detective who is determined to catch Lee, is hot on his heels. The story is based on Kkomabi’s webtoon of the same name.

Choi Woo-shik from Parasite and Our Beloved Summer will play Lee Tang, while Son Suk-ku from D.P. and Big Bet fame will portray Jang Nan-gam. Lee Hee-jun will join the cast as an ex-detective who is also hunting down Lee Tang. A Killer Paradox will be directed by Lee Chang-hee, known for his work on the 2019 K-drama Strangers from Hell and the 2018 film The Vanished. Meanwhile, screenwriter Kim Da-min penned the series.

The first teaser for A Killer Paradox was released on January 11 by Netflix. The teaser opens with Lee Tang going through the motions of his mundane life, from attending university classes to working at a convenience store. However, a violent encounter with a stranger changes Lee’s life, as he fights back with a hammer, committing his first murder. Detective Jang Nan-gam is assigned to investigate the homicide case, thus starting a deadly cat-and-mouse game between the police officer and the once-ordinary university student.
