The well-known metal band (hed)p.e. recently experienced a close encounter with a group of trespassers on their tour bus during their 2024 ‘Bring Tha Noize’ tour. While taking a break at a Walmart en route to California, the band encountered a suspicious group of men lurking around their rig and trailer. According to Loudwire, the band’s manager and an armed services veteran, Josh “Crazy Ed” Edwards, noticed the suspicious activity and managed to take down the intruder, a heroic feat that was captured on film and circulating on social media.
In the caption accompanying the footage, the band wrote, “Fuck around with HEDPE and find out…. Hed pe security ain’t no joke haha.” Thankfully, Edwards was able to subdue the intruder until the police arrived. Edwards has established himself as a hero before; he previously pulled a man out of a snowstorm following a highway accident that happened after the group’s Great Falls show.
Although (hed)p.e. encountered some trouble on their tour, it’s not stopping them from entertaining their fans at venues across the US. Up next, the band will perform at the Temblor Brew in Bakersfield, California, tonight, January 26, before continuing the tour and visiting Las Vegas, San Diego, Anaheim, and West Hollywood. They will complete the string of tour dates at Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach on February 1. Fans looking to catch a show can visit Ticketmaster for tickets and a full list of tour dates.
Despite the intrusion, (hed)p.e.’s fans are likely pleased to hear that the band is continuing their tour unimpeded. If anything, Edwards’ swift response will give fans added confidence that the band’s security knows how to handle potential security risks. The 2024 ‘Bring Tha Noize’ tour promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance, and the band continues to prove that they’re ready to face any challenges that come their way
