The sales for Coachella tickets have been slow this year, with passes for both weekends still available after a week of being live. The festival has reportedly experienced its slowest sales in a decade, with a report from SFGate stating that Coachella sold out within 40 minutes in 2015, whereas in 2022, it took four hours for tickets to sell out. Currently, a general pass for the first weekend costs $499 (£392), while a pass for its second weekend costs $549 (£431.28).
Despite the slow sales, the 2024 edition of Coachella has revealed its full lineup, which includes headliners Doja Cat, Tyler, The Creator, and Lana Del Rey, all of whom have previously performed at the festival. Alongside them are numerous electronic music acts such as Peggy Gou, Orbital, BICEP, Two Shell, Mall Grab, and Skream & Benga. Justice will also be making their return to performing at the festival, debuting their yet-to-be-seen new live show on the main stage.
It’s worth mentioning that in recent years, Coachella has encountered some last-minute changes to its lineup. In 2022, Kanye West was pulled from his headline slot a week before the festival, as it was reported that the rapper needed time to “work on himself.” Last year’s headliner, Frank Ocean, was also unable to perform for the second weekend citing a leg injury. After the news of Ocean’s cancellation, people searching Google for “sell Coachella tickets” more than quadrupled, jumping by 445%.
Coachella 2024 will take place across two weekends from April 12 to 14 and April 19 to 21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. However, tickets are still available for this year’s festival. If you’re interested, visit their website to get your tickets and check out the full line-up.
