Palace announce new album ‘Ultrasound’ and share new single ‘Bleach’

London-based band Palace has announced the release of their latest album, ‘Ultrasound.’ The band, made up of Leo Wyndham, Matt Hodges and Rupert Turner, will reunite with producer Adam Jaffrey for the album, eight years after their debut collaboration, ‘So Long Forever.’ The album follows the release of 2023 companion EPs, ‘Part I – When Everything Was Lost’ and ‘Part II – Nightmares & Ice Cream.’

The album’s lead single, ‘Bleach’ describes a meaningful relationship with a significant other and serves as the opening to the album’s story. During the creation of the album’s first batch of songs, lead singer Leo Wyndham’s partner suffered a late miscarriage. “Ultrasound” became an open diary of the year-long struggle of coping with this loss and finding hope once again.

Some of the songs on the album include “Love Is A Precious Thing,” “Cocoon,” and “Goodnight Farewell.” The album is set for release on April 5th and is available for pre-order or pre-save. To support the album, Palace will perform “Ultrasound” in full at a one-off show at London’s EartH on February 23rd.

Palace’s previous full-length album was 2022’s ‘Shoals’. Despite not wanting the pandemic to influence the album directly, lead singer Leo Wyndham explained that “Shoals” was inspired by the feeling of being locked away and confronting one’s own fears and anxieties. The band has received critical acclaim since their debut, with their melancholic alternative sound captivating audiences worldwide
