London-based electronic musician George FitzGerald has released his latest single, ‘Gleams’, inspired by European music from the 2000s. The track was written last summer while FitzGerald was travelling through Germany and France searching for inspiration in the house records he had discovered in record shops. The single is his first new track of 2024 and follows the 2023 EP ‘Not As I’. FitzGerald said, “This is my take on those memories.”
‘Gleams’ is an unabashed nod to FitzGerald’s love of noughties house music and is sure to thrill fans of the genre. The track was an idea FitzGerald conceived while travelling by fast trains to Paris and Toulouse and finished in the studio in Berlin. FitzGerald has said that he has “had the best time playing this one in sets recently.”
FitzGerald will begin his Dublin residency performing at the Wigwam basement every Friday throughout February and then head out on an intimate UK club tour. The 2024 tour dates are listed below. Tickets can be purchased from the link provided.
