Fat White Family, the English rock band, has recently revealed details of their upcoming album entitled ‘Forgiveness Is Yours’ and its lead single ‘Bullet Of Dignity’. The band’s fourth studio album will be released on April 26th under the label of Domino, following the exposure of the album’s first preview ‘Religion Of One’ in late 2023.
Lias Saoudi, the band’s frontman, discussed the upcoming album in a statement, describing the album’s direction as “about life as eternal contingency…about no longer suspecting, but knowing that this shit will never get any easier…in fact, it’s about to get a whole lot worse.” He adds that while their body is deteriorating, people they love will also slowly start passing away around them, but somehow they accept this. He emphasized that “you’ve smashed enough of your expectations thus far in life, you’re sort of fine with it…you accept it”.
After a half-decade hiatus, the upcoming album marks their comeback, significantly following 2019’s ‘Serfs Up’. In their review of the album, NME described it as the band’s sound that’s “downgraded to mellower substances for superior results”, and with their resurgence, the band has even supported Liam Gallagher at his biggest solo show at Knebworth, and made and screened a short film titled ‘Moonbathing’.
On the other hand, the new album’s tracklists are encompassed by 11 songs, including the lead single ‘Bullet Of Dignity’, ‘Visions Of Pain’, and ‘Religion For One’. Saoudi has also written a best-selling account called ‘Fat White Family And The Miracle Of Failure’, depicting the band’s tumultuous rise to fame.
In conclusion, the band’s new album will further cement their position in the music industry, showcasing their unique perspective and musicality to music enthusiasts across various genres. Fans are highly anticipating the expected masterpiece that’s set to launch on April 26th
