Korean dating show, Single’s Inferno, is set to return with a fourth season, according to a press release from Netflix. First airing in December 2021, the show has become one of the region’s most popular dating shows, surpassing last season’s viewer numbers with a record 65 million cumulative viewing hours. Kim Jae-won, one of the co-producers of the show, said that the producers will take note of viewer feedback to produce the best possible fourth season.
Notably, Single’s Inferno is also the first unscripted series from Netflix Korea to be renewed for a new season. It’s a significant milestone that reflects the success of the Korean series in recent years. Furthermore, this official confirmation for a fourth season comes after producers Kim Jae-won and Kim Jung-hyun had indicated that a renewal was “still under discussion”.
Kim Jae-won and Kim Jung-hyun have also hinted about a potential spin-off featuring contestants from different seasons of the show. For example, Kim Jae-won showed excitement at the prospect of different contestants appearing together. Season two contestant Dex and season three contestant Lee Gwan-hee are two names that have been mentioned by Kim Jae-won as being interesting to see on-screen together.
