Norwich deaths: Four people found at house in named

Police have released the names of four members of the same family who were found dead in their home in Costessey, near Norwich. The deceased were identified as Bartlomiej Kuczynski, 45, Kanticha Sukpengpanao, 36, Jasmin Kuczynska, 12, and Natasha Kuczynska, nine. Post-mortem examinations confirmed that Mr Kuczynski and Ms Sukpengpanao died from stab wounds to the neck. Tests on the girls have yet to be carried out.

A man from within the property had called 999 to say he was confused and worried about his mental state, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) revealed earlier this week. He was advised to seek medical advice. The initial call was made just before 6 am, but police only attended the house more than an hour later after receiving a call from a concerned dog walker.

Detectives have confirmed that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths. However, Norfolk Police has referred itself twice to the IOPC in relation to the case. The IOPC will be looking into whether the way in which the caller was handled was appropriate and in line with force policy, training, and procedures.

Ms Sukpengpanao was visiting the house at the time of the deaths, while Mr Kuczynski lived there with the two girls. The police have not yet offered any explanation for the deaths.
