Due to overwhelming demand, The Smile, the Radiohead side project featuring Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, have announced an additional London concert as part of their 2024 UK tour. The band initially announced their tour plans in November of 2023, in conjunction with the release of their album, Wall Of Eyes. They will debut their tour at the 3Arena in Dublin on March 7, and will perform in Brighton, Manchester, Glasgow, and Birmingham before the tour’s London finale at Alexandra Palace on March 23. Due to popular demand, the band will be performing an additional show at Eventim Apollo on March 10.
Fans can purchase London tickets beginning this Friday, January 26 at 9 a.m. GMT from Ticketmaster. Unsurprisingly, fans were clamoring for tickets to the tour given what NME described in their four-star review of the album: “a masterclass in pushing rock forward.” The Smile’s new album “Wall of Eyes” was released on Friday and has already drawn widespread acclaim from critics and fans alike.
While The Smile’s latest project has been a huge commercial success, it’s worth noting that Radiohead drummer Philip Selway recently hinted at a possible reunion for the iconic band, stating that they were “coming back around to that point”. While it remains to be seen whether or not this is true, fans of Radiohead and The Smile alike are eagerly awaiting more news on both fronts
