The latest season of HBO’s True Detective, entitled Night Country, has kicked off with the premiere of the first episode on January 14. Starring Jodie Foster as police chief Liz Danvers, the show focuses on the mysterious disappearance of eight men from an Alaskan research station. Other cast members include Kali Reis, Killing Eve’s Fiona Shaw, and Oscar-nominated actor John Hawkes. Issa López directs and co-writes the series. The second episode airs on January 21.

The six-episode series will air every Sunday at 9 pm ET on HBO in the US, with new episodes becoming available on streaming platform Max afterwards. In the UK, episodes will become available in the early hours of Monday mornings on Sky and NOW TV. The full schedule for the series is as follows: Episode 1 (January 14), Episode 2 (January 21), Episode 3 (January 28), Episode 4 (February 4), Episode 5 (February 11), and Episode 6 (February 18).
