On the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, performers Renée Rap and Megan Thee Stallion joined forces to perform their collaborative song from the new version of Mean Girls that debuted on Broadway. Rap reprised her role as Regina George and performed the song “Not My Fault” with Stallion. The two artists delivered an energetic and fun performance that left fans excited.
Before collaborating with Stallion, Rap also performed her song “Snow Angel” from her debut album that is set to release in 2023. During the performance, Rachel McAdams, who played Regina in the original Mean Girls movie, introduced Rap to the audience as a surprise appearance. Stallion made her appearance halfway through the song for an epic surprise performance that fans went wild for.
The new Mean Girls movie is receiving mixed reviews from critics. Empire gave the movie a positive four-star review and described it as “sharp and funny”. On the other hand, The Hollywood Reporter panned the film, calling it a “tuneless mess”. Lohan also appeared in the new movie, but was reportedly “hurt and disappointed” by a joke that was aimed at her.
