Sita Abellán, a DJ, stylist, and now producer, recently shared her first-ever EP under her new alias, SITA. Her EP, titled ‘Generacion XDISIS,’ is now available on Héctor Oak’s label KAOS, consisting of four club-focused tracks that explore the concept of mutation, evolution, and shedding skin. She related her personal journey of transforming from a DJ to a producer, from being a “club kid,” to a mother, and to tapping into a new level of creativity.
The EP was inspired by the Eurohouse in the 2000s, the post-Franco Spanish techno Ruta Del Bakalao era in the 90s Valencia, Belgian new beats from the 80s, and modern Berlin techno. Sita explains that her EP represents her artistic evolution, an ongoing journey into the deepest part of her being, authentic communication, and manifestation of her ever-evolving best self.
SITA’s latest EP release followed her active involvement in launching OUTOPIA, her LGBTQ+ focused techno party in 2023. She played at various festivals and clubs in Ibiza and collaborated with Héctor Oaks on his debut album.
‘Generacion XDISIS’ is now available, and listeners can check it out here. Niamh Ingram, Mixmag’s Weekend Editor, emphasized the significant transformation of Sita Abellán, who began as a club kid to become a producer and how her EP shows her vast growth in creativity and self-expression.
