Musician Noel Gallagher recently revealed that he is recording an entirely acoustic album that will be dedicated to his fans. This news comes after Gallagher had previously announced his plans to work on a new album earlier this year. The former Oasis guitarist disclosed the details during a recent podcast appearance.
In the podcast, Gallagher said that he is “back in the studio – not rock, the acoustic stuff,” and that he is doing it for fans. So far, he has completed six songs for the album. One of the tracks comes from a demo titled “God Help Us All,” which was never recorded when Gallagher was still in Oasis.
Gallagher added that the rest of the tracks for the acoustic album are new material. He expressed excitement about seeing it through, as long as the melody and lyrics are good. Additionally, on New Year’s Eve, Gallagher released a demo track called “In A Little While,” which could hint at what the upcoming acoustic album might sound like.
Gallagher has a history of releasing a new song to welcome the new year and had previously shared that he plans to record new music this year. In a recent interview, he mentioned that he has already written material for two more albums.
As stated by Gallagher, he was in the headspace of going into the studio with nothing and seeing what happens. David Holmes, who produced his album ‘Council Skies,’ unlocked that particular door for him, and it was great.
