Ashley Park, star of ‘Emily In Paris’ shared on Instagram that she almost died while on holiday due to tonsillitis. The TV actress, who also played a recurring role in Golden Globe-winning show ‘Beef’ and Hulu series ‘Only Murders In The Building’, praised her partner and thanked the hospital staff and the Joali Being resort team for their quick responses and support. In her Instagram post, she shared that she hesitated to share her experience because she was still in the throes of recovery. At age 32, Park’s condition quickly worsened, progressing into critical septic shock and spreading to several of her organs.

Park admitted that the experience confused her and was painful, but her partner held her hand throughout the journey. They were far from those they knew and were alone on the other side of the world. She expressed her deep gratitude to the doctors and ICU nurses who worked tirelessly, and the resort staff who provided translation services and vital support.

She also thanks her personal team of heroes at home who were available for calls with insurance companies, her parents who were supportive from afar, and doctors who helped her around the clock. Park concluded her post by apologising for being absent and thanking her followers. She promised she was healing and would be okay soon.
