Bring Me The Horizon delivered a special show in Liverpool on January 17th with an unexpected guest appearance. Olli Appleyard, frontman for supporting act Static Dress, took to the stage to perform a rendition of ‘Diamonds Aren’t Forever’ alongside BMTH. The track, hailing from their 2008 album ‘Suicide Season’, was welcomed with excitement from the audience and Appleyard received a rapturous response.
Sykes, the band’s lead singer, introduced Appleyard to the stage. “Who wants to hear an oldie?” he said. “Make some noise for Olli of Static Dress!”. A video of the performance recorded by a fan can be viewed on Twitter and YouTube. This isn’t the first time BMTH has brought supporting acts out on stage during the UK tour. At the show in Cardiff, they were joined by Noah Sebastian, frontman of Bad Omens, for a performance of ‘Antivist’. The two have continued to perform together at other shows since.
BMTH has still to release their latest album, ‘POST HUMAN: NeX GEn’, but it is due to arrive in summer 2024. Ahead of their tour, the band confirmed that they had parted ways with keyboardist and percussionist Jordan Fish. In a statement, BMTH thanked Fish for the journey and wished him luck in his future endeavors. Fish too shared a statement sharing his gratitude for his 11 years with the band.
It appears that BMTH has been busy collaborating with other artists as well. Rumors surfaced of collaborations with Billie Eilish and Underoath on the way
