Ariana Grande announces release date of new album ‘Eternal Sunshine’

Pop superstar Ariana Grande has announced that her forthcoming seventh studio album, ‘Eternal Sunshine’, will be released on March 8. The ‘Thank U, Next’ singer shared the album cover via her social media accounts, which revealed that there will be four limited edition vinyl pressings with alternate cover art. At the moment, only one listing is viewable: a red pressing with the photo Grande shared on Instagram, but the three other variations will be announced at a later date.

‘Eternal Sunshine’ follows the singer’s last album, ‘Positions’, and arrives as part of a new management deal after Grande parted ways with long-time manager Scooter Braun last summer. This new album will be the first since that split, which ended a ten-year working relationship between the two.

On January 12, Grande returned to music with her latest track ‘Yes, And?’. The song addresses her personal life and was recorded in New York City, while being written and produced by Grande, Max Martin, and Ilya Salmanzadeh. The song marks the lead single for Grande’s upcoming album, and coincided with the release of the track’s video featuring the star bringing her doubters in one by one and giving each of them a live performance of the single.

Grande’s upcoming record was teased earlier in the year when she sent notes and red lipsticks to fans while hinting that producer Salmanzadeh had contributed to the project. While it may not emulate her earlier hits such as ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ or ‘Into You’, NME’s 4-star review praised the singer’s commitment to presenting herself as “a flawed but honest human being, seeking to own her narrative and move forward.”
