Kyle MacLachlan, known for his association with David Lynch, surprised Lorde’s fans by recreating one of her recent Instagram posts captioned “Listening to myself.” The New Zealand singer had teased her fans with two selfies wearing headphones in December 2023, hinting that she may release new music soon. She had, however, clarified in a fan-page comment that they might still have to wait for a while.

She left a comment on his Instagram post: “I am….speechless Kyle!” and re-shared the picture to her Instagram story saying, “O KAY Kyle!”. The two pictures shared side by side got a response from MacLachlan: “You just get it.”
Lorde had teased new music back in the summer after she made a return to the stage. She had promised to show “light on the inside” to her fans soon. She had revealed in September that she was “living with heartbreak” in an emotional letter to her fans.

The 18-year-old pop sensation called Lorde her inspiration and said that she had, unintentionally, channeled her in one of her songs. Rodrigo covered ‘Buzzcut Season,’ one of Lorde’s songs from her 2013 album, ‘Pure Heroine,’ at a Radio 1 Live Lounge session earlier in 2021.
