Glastonbury warns against “bogus” online ticket scams

Organizers of the Glastonbury festival have issued a warning to attendees about fake ticket sales. With no re-sale date announced yet, the festival has urged fans to be cautious of fake promotions and to avoid falling victim to fake operators and touts. If anyone has doubts about any organization offering tickets, accommodation, or competitions related to Glastonbury, they are being advised to contact the festival office.

The organizers’ announcement concludes by stating that official partner contests may run over the coming months; as of now, however, there are no legitimate Glastonbury 2024 ticket contests running currently. Those that missed out on the main ticket release can get another opportunity with the resales scheduled for some time this Spring.

To secure a legitimate ticket, Glastonbury is asking people to preregister with an official ID before the re-sale date. Each ticket, as a result, has an image of the ticket holder printed. The festival itself will take place from June 26 through June 30 at Worthy Farm. As of yet, no acts, including headliners, have been confirmed.

The Glastonbury festival is one of the largest artists and music festivals globally, with various popular artists performing in the past, including Beyoncé, Radiohead, and Coldplay. Apart from music, the festival also includes various activities, such as theatre, comedy, and circus performances. It is an event that people from all around the world eagerly wait for and as a result, it is imperative to be cautious with regards to fake ticket sales.

If anyone has doubts about a provider, they are being advised to contact the festival office, which will ensure they have a hassle-free experience. Glastonbury Festival’s top tips on securing tickets to this year’s festival are available on their website
