Colossal Order, the developer behind Cities: Skylines 2, has expressed concerns about the “growing tendency of toxicity” in the game’s community. Writing in a blog post on publisher Paradox Interactive’s forums, the company outlined the negative impact of toxicity towards developers and fellow community members. The post concluded with suggestions on how the community can counter negativity by providing constructive feedback, being mindful of tone and showing kindness towards others in the fandom. Cities: Skylines 2 was released in October 2023, with a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S version set to come out in the second quarter of 2024.
