Guy Ritchie’s new Netflix series, The Gentleman, has released its trailer alongside its premiere date. The series is set to broadcast in March and will delve into a slice of the world that was initially showcased in Ritchie’s 2020 film, also titled The Gentleman. Although the characters in the TV series are different from the movie, it will have the “same bite,” as the series promises. The plot follows the estranged son of a wealthy English aristocrat, who slips into a world of criminal activity, namely Bobby Glass’s industrial cannabis empire on the East End of London.

The Duke of Halstead, Eddie Horniman, played by The White Lotus star Theo James leads The Gentlemen. Ray Winstone stars as career criminal Bobby Glass, while Kaya Scodelario takes on the role of the ruthless and effortlessly fashionable daughter, Susie Glass. Winstone is the latest name added to the series, as confirmed in the trailer released recently.

Meanwhile, Ritchie serves as the creator, co-writer, executive producer and director of the first two episodes of the action-filled drama. Netflix’s description promises that although the characters in the serial are unlike in the movie, there are still plenty of “fresh tricks up its well-tailored sleeve.”

The cast also comprises stars like Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, Dar Salim, Pearce Quigley, Ruby Sear, and Peter Serafinowicz. All eight episodes of the upcoming series are scheduled to premiere on Netflix in March 2024
