Kathy Brown announces new single ‘Turn Me Deeper’ raising money for cancer treatment

The latest single from Toolroom Records, ‘Turn Me Deeper’, is set to feature the iconic vocals of Kathy Brown, with all proceeds going towards her cancer treatment. The production includes the expertise of Toolroom affiliates Wh0, Mark Knight, and James Hurr. The release of the single is scheduled for January 19, with all earnings going to Kathy Brown’s GoFundMe campaign which was launched by her daughter last October after being diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.

Due to her inability to perform live, it has become increasingly challenging for Kathy to make an income. As such, it has become a necessity to rely on the love and support of her fans to help her through this difficult time.

Revival Records has promised an additional $10,000 in contributions to the GoFundMe campaign, equalling the proceeds from the single. The London-based record label, which is inspired by a love for house music and a desire to create great dance records, re-released four of Brown’s 2023 singles, including ‘Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher’.

Kathy Brown has been a critical voice in the house music scene, featuring on several club singles with other dance legends such as David Morales. Originally from South Carolina, Kathy Brown began as a choir singer in New York in the late 1960s. The track ‘Joy’, which she recorded with David Morales, is regarded as one of the most famous house music records of all time.

Kathy Brown was seen serenading passengers on a Ryanair flight while on her way to a recording session in Italy, as reported by Metro last year. Fans are encouraged to contribute to her GoFundMe campaign to show their support, and single release is an excellent way to contribute
