New Copenhagen-based radio station Radio Panini, to begin broadcasting this weekend

Radio Panini, a new radio station, is set to launch in Copenhagen this week, as the city continues to establish itself as a dance music hub. The station, based in the Vesterbro district, will broadcast live on Saturday mornings and evenings, with shows stored on YouTube and SoundCloud. Seeking to emerge “from the club dancefloor”, the station will open its doors to the public – but only 40 guests will be allowed into the studio during broadcasts.

To launch the station, Radio Panini is hosting a 15-hour-long opening party at Baggen, it’s club and base, on Saturday (January 13). The lineup for the opening event will include Markus Kilsgaard, Corpo, Mark Wingco, O Blom and more, with their sets broadcast live from 2 PM to 10 PM. For the afterparty, Studio Natura, Dixen, Maria and headrush will carry on the party until 5 AM.

Radio Panini’s founders Francesco and Simone aim to create a platform for culture and entertainment where people interested in music, food and art can come together both online and offline to share their experiences and have a good time. They said they want the station to run inclusive, co-created and diverse programming, with a focus on experimentations of formats and genres, and are interested in hearing from radio hosts who can commit to regular shows as well as those who want to do one-offs.
