The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has announced that a 16-year-old boy will be charged with the murder of 16-year-old Harry Pitman. Harry was fatally stabbed while a crowd gathered to watch New Year’s Eve fireworks on Primrose Hill in North London. The defendant, who is from Westminster, has also been charged with possessing an offensive weapon. He is to appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
Two other teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of Harry’s murder on Friday. The Metropolitan Police had earlier released three teenage boys, aged 15, 16 and 18, on police bail while investigations continued.
