Rough Trade, the record retailers, have come up with a new store which is going to be the largest in the UK. Located in Liverpool, the store at Hanover Street is expected to have a dedicated venue space and will occupy an area of 6,500 square feet. The store will be the company’s sixth outlet in the UK and will join its other locations in Bristol, Nottingham, and three outlets in London.
In partnership with Signature Brew and Dark Arts, the store will have a bar and a cafe that will serve a variety of draught beers. Additionally, the store will join hands with SoundCity Liverpool for 2024, a three-day festival, and ticketing service DICE for events. The company said that it is yet to announce the opening date for its Liverpool store, but it is expected that it may open early this year.
Lawrence Montgomery, Managing Director at Rough Trade, expressed his excitement at the prospect of growing the company’s presence in the United Kingdom, adding that it had invested heavily to make the Liverpool store both ambitious and sizable. The store is set to honor and represent Liverpool’s rich musical heritage and thriving musical scene.
The company is currently recruiting with roles ranging from general manager, assistant manager, bar and events manager, bar and events supervisor, retail supervisor, as well as sales and bar and events assistants.
