James May has revealed that he would be willing to reunite with Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond for new projects, despite reports that the trio had filmed their last episode of The Grand Tour for Amazon Prime. Speaking on Radio 4’s Today program, May confirmed that they had filmed the final episode “for now” and that he wouldn’t rule out the possibility of future collaborations.
The former Top Gear hosts had worked together from 2003 to 2015 and were then signed up by Amazon to launch The Grand Tour. Despite their success, they parted ways with Top Gear after Clarkson punched a producer. His discussion on cycling caused tension between drivers and cyclists, with May suggesting that “all those things should be able to coexist in the same space in perfect harmony.”
