A collision involving two vehicles has taken place on Christmas Eve on the A82 at Invergloy. Seven individuals have been taken to hospital, including two children. All casualties were transported to Belford Hospital in Fort William, initially. It has been reported that a woman was later transferred to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, and two children, aged six and 15, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with severe injuries.
Police have urged anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them. Officers are believed to be particularly keen to speak to the driver of a car who was overtaken at the time of the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear. The Highlands region is known for its challenging road conditions and winding roads, particularly on the A82 and other main routes. This stretch of road has also been known to be busy over the festive period.
Traffic conditions on the A82 and surrounding roads are likely to have been affected, and police may have closed off sections of the road to allow emergency services access to the accident site. No further information regarding the condition of the individuals involved has been released publicly
