British musician Romy has unveiled the latest visualizer for her debut solo album, ‘Mid Air’, showcasing Maisie Williams as its star. Directed by Romy’s wife and visual collaborator Vic Lentaigne, the video depicts the excitement of an unfolding night out. It complements the playful euphoria of the track, which was co-produced by Avalon Emerson, Fred Again.., and Stuart Price.

The album was released on 8 September, and Romy wrote on Instagram that it is a “collection of songs celebrating love, navigating loss and exploring identity.” Furthermore, she added, “It’s musically inspired by dance music, it’s a love letter to the queer clubs I first went to when I was growing up and people I met there and the music I heard that has made me feel more alive and less alone.”

Romy’s album has received critical acclaim ahead of the 66th GRAMMY Awards, where she has been nominated for her album track ‘Strong’. Accompanying the video release, Romy announced forthcoming headline North and South American live shows next year, including her biggest show to date at LA’s Hollywood Palladium and New York’s Knockdown Centre.

The announcement of her new releases, including ‘Mid Air,’ has garnered positive feedback, extremely increasing her fans’ excitement. Her latest piece of art exemplifies Romy’s artistic flair and musical prowess, creating mesmerizing pieces for her growing audience worldwide.
