Horst, an underground arts and music festival based in Brussels, has revealed the initial lineup for its tenth-anniversary celebration. Ben UFO, DJ Nobu, Juliana Huxtable, and JASSS are among the artists enlisted for the Belgian festival’s 2024 edition. In addition, Skream and Benga, Octo Octa, Kiernan Lavaeux, and Upsammy have been confirmed.
Horst is well-known for being a festival that places as much emphasis on its DJs as it does on its visual effects, combining art, architecture, and music into an unforgettable experience. The festival will continue to uphold its reputation when it returns to Aviat Park in late spring 2024, albeit under new leadership.
Last year, graphic designers Ronny & Jonny completed their work with the Brussels-based festival, concluding their tenure with a striking collaboration with Delta Light. Between the March 2023 festival and the 2024 edition, Horst hosted the Horst Arts & Music Club site, which has been offering “warmly welcoming and wonderfully weird” nights since October 27, 2023. Craig Richards, GiGi FM, Jam City, Le Motel, Moxie, and a slew of others have already performed at the venue, with more to come before Horst returns to its festival roots.
Horst originated in 2014 on the site of Horst Castle in Holsbeek before becoming an internationally recognized stage that celebrates cutting-edge electronic music and innovative in-situ art and architecture. In 2019, the festival relocated to Asiat Park, where it continued and expanded on its tradition of reimagining urban spaces.
