Nella Rose, the social media influencer and presenter, has gained attention by taking part in the current series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. Rose, who has one million followers on Instagram and TikTok, started posting YouTube videos at the age of 18 while studying sociology at the University of Leicester. Her channel featured beauty reviews, vlogs, and debates, and it garnered a following of 800,000 subscribers.
Last year, Rose became a presenter on MTV’s Catfish UK, in which she helps people locate their online romantic partners. In addition, she co-hosted the BBC Radio 1Xtra podcast with Mariam Musa and Adeola Patronne until leaving for “personal reasons.” She has presented online streams on the red carpet for the Brit Awards.
Born Ornella Rose Hollela in Belgium, Rose grew up in London. She has tweeted about her Congolese heritage and is proud of it. In 2020, she issued an apology video after “unacceptable” teenage tweets surfaced, including derogatory comments about black girls and Somali people.
Rose has faced significant challenges. Both her parents have died, and she was evicted from the council house she shared with her mother. In the jungle, she has also faced bush tucker trials, which she dislikes. Viewers recently defended her after she took offense when First Date’s Fred Sirieix made a comment she perceived as disrespectful.
Despite the obstacles, Rose has gained respect and acclaim for her work on social media platforms and in mainstream media, and she is seen as one of the most interesting contestants in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here
