Liverpool court has found four men responsible for the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Ashley Dale. James Witham, Joseph Peers, Niall Barry and Sean Zeisz were found guilty of the murder of Dale, who was killed when Witham kicked her door down and shot her in the abdomen on August 21, 2022. The four men were also found guilty of planning and carrying out the murder of Dale’s boyfriend, Lee Harrison.

Dale had worked as a council environmental health worker, and her murder was described as being planned and carried out by the four men in question. At the Liverpool Crown Court, it was revealed that a fifth man, Ian Fitzgibbon, was later cleared of all charges relating to Dale’s homicide.

The court heard how Dale had recorded voice notes on her phone detailing the ongoing feud between Barry and Harrison, which lead to Dale’s murder, in the months leading up to her being killed.
