A 44-year-old man from Darlington has been charged with the murder of a woman who was found dead by the police. Andrew Bell stands accused of killing Leanne Park, also 44, in the town last Wednesday. According to Durham Police, Leanne was declared dead at a property in Parkgate around 21:15 BST.
Leanne’s family expressed their grief, describing her as the “best mam, nana, daughter and friend we could wish for.” Bell is scheduled to make a court appearance at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man, previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on bail.
