A police department in Wales has reported experiencing a cyber-attack that disrupted some of its non-emergency systems and may have potentially exposed or compromised staff information. Dyfed-Powys Police detected the breach on 14 September and are currently conducting an investigation to determine the details and impact of the incident.
Despite the cyber incident, the police force confirmed that it continues to operate normally, with emergency response services remaining unaffected. While certain online and email communication channels were temporarily unavailable, these have since been restored. The emergency phone lines, including 999 and 101, continued to function without interruption throughout the event.
