Police release CCTV of missing Lillia's last sighting

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have released CCTV footage capturing the last confirmed sighting of Lillia, a 13-year-old girl from Bolton who has been reported missing. She was last seen by her family on the 11th of September. Subsequent investigations revealed that Lillia was spotted at Manchester Piccadilly bus station at 10:36 BST on the 14th of September.

As part of their ongoing search efforts, police officers have distributed numerous leaflets and deployed an advertising van displaying Lillia’s photograph in Piccadilly Gardens. Descriptions provided indicate that she is a white girl, slim, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with light brown hair and glasses.

The CCTV footage from Manchester Piccadilly shows Lillia wearing black trousers and a black hoodie with a black backpack. Earlier that same day, she was seen boarding the number 36 bus from Salford. Chief Superintendent Helen Critchley explained, “Officers are making every effort to locate Lillia, and our team have been working through hours of CCTV footage and exploring every avenue to try and find her.” She confirmed that Lillia exited the bus at Piccadilly, which travels a route from Bolton through Salford to Manchester city centre.

Further inquiries from the police include requests for information from anyone who might have been on the bus with Lillia or saw her at Piccadilly Gardens around 8:20 pm on Sunday, 13 September, including anyone who spotted her at McDonald’s during that time. Chief Superintendent Critchley added, “We are also mindful that Lillia could have travelled outside of the Manchester area and are keeping an open mind regarding this possibility.” She urged the public, “If you have any information that could help us find Lillia, I would urge you to come forward. Her family just want her home.
