Dore-Smith revealed that Live Nation had informed him his coffee shop was selected as Harry Styles’ “favourite coffee shop” for a special promotion, although the free drinks were not allowed to be advertised in advance. The coffee shop owner explained that Styles personally covered the typical Saturday revenue for both their Eastcastle Street and Great Titchfield Street locations, with some additional funds included to ensure all beverages could be provided without issue.

The connection between Styles and Dore-Smith’s shop dates back a couple of years, as Styles had previously visited the Eastcastle Street branch. In tribute, during Styles’ recent concerts in London, the café displayed his song lyrics on their blackboards, enhancing the atmosphere for fans. On the day the free coffee giveaway took place, posters were displayed in the windows, and the cups were adorned with “Together, Together” tour stickers that had been supplied by the event promoter.

To further immerse the coffee shops in the theme, Styles’ music was played continuously, and the staff dressed up, donning ties to mimic the artist’s signature style. “We put extra staff on, and on the day people just rocked up as normal,” said Dore-Smith. When customers inquired about the complimentary drinks, employees explained that “Harry Styles is buying everyone’s coffee today.”

Dore-Smith also mentioned that such promotions are part of a pattern, noting that similar giveaways had been done previously with other local businesses, including a florist and an ice cream parlour. Live Nation chose not to provide any comments on the event
